Standard Weights and Measures (Third Amendment) Act, 1987


Preamble

Whereas it is expedient to amend the 1968 Standard Weights and Measures Act, now therefore, His Majesty King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev has enacted this law on the advice and with the approval of the National Panchayat.

1.	Short Title and Commencment

(1)	This law may be called the Standard Weights and Measures (Third Amendment) Act, 1987.
(2)	It shall come into force at once.

2.	Amendment in Section 2 of the 1968 Standard Weights and Measures Act

Clause (j) of Section 2 of the 1968 Standard Weights and Measures Act has been amended as follows:

(j)	Controller means the Director-General of the Department of Standards and Weights and Measures.
