Nepal Bureau of Standards and Metrology is an authorized agency to implement Standard Weights and Measures Act 2025 and Rules 2027. Nepalese community has been brought under the influence of these Act and Rules. Eight satellite offices stationed at Kathmandu, Birganj, Biratnagar, Butwal, Dhangadhi, Nepalganj, Pokhara and Janakpur are rendering services under this act to cover entire country in verification of weights and measures as well as weighing and measuring instruments, which are being used in the trade and industry .
