Metrology section at NBSM is responsible for the verification of weights and measures as well as weighing and measuring instruments, which are being used in the trade and industry . It also takes responsibility for ensuring the establishment and proper functioning of a credible measuring system including setting regulations for the legal application of metrology developing standards for measurement and calibration, preparing regulation for weighing and measuring instruments used producers, testing laboratories and the general public.
